NEW MUSIC: Mainland – I Found God (Video)
“I Found God” is the new single by New York-based pop rock trio Mainland, an anthemic power ballad which got an equally compelling visual treatment.
The video was produced and directed by female art duo, Similar But Different – comprised of artist Charlotte Fassler and Dani Girdwood. What makes the video so gripping, aside from its unmistakable message, is the fact that these are not hired actors but real life couples. Twelve diverse couples who got all together to shoot this video. (Makes me want to have being part of this as well!)
The couples are individuals across a spectrum of identities- (of non-binary genders, different ages, races, and walks of life) that remind us that love is love and as the song swells, they begin to find their partners; each staggered reunion a tender celebration of heart-wrenching fulfillment.
