SONG PICK: Exes – Cain
The Californian electro-pop duo Exes is back with a new very personal song about an episode in singer Allie McDonald’s life: the passing of a close friend she was never lucky enough to meet in person. The mood in “Cain” is maybe a little bit more subdued than in their previous work, but it is still signature Exes, with lush synth textures flow around Allie’s vocals like a tropical waterfall.
