SONG PICK: Glassio – Papaya
Blissfully bright, with distinct dance beats, and even some hand claps thrown in, paired with super charming vocals – that is “Papaya”, the gorgeous new single by Glassio. The Brooklyn-based duo is comprised of Sam Rad and Charles Pinel, who both grew up overseas (Pinel in Paris and Rad in the Middle East) and started out making music together at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute. 2016 saw the release of their debut EP “Poptimism”.
Lyrically, “Papaya” is about the beauty of transformation, and the emotionally-charged impulse to escape where you have come from and find a new home – which I can fully relate to. Listen to the summer-perfect “Papaya”, our Song Pick of the Day:
