“Something Bad”, the debut single by indie rockers PANGEA, is something extraordinarily good. I’m swooning over the velvety vocals together with the soulful lead guitar and am swept away by the track’s joyful, funky, dance floor vibe. The lyrical content though goes deeper, as frontman Slye explains: “Something Bad represents the self-destructive search for passion. To find a love so consuming that it will drive you to insanity; it’s about wondering how far you can go before you break.” Hailing from Liverpool, the quartet is onto something here with a debut single that catchy AND beautiful.
