3 Is A Band: Joseph

Sometimes, I don’t even need to actually listen to a band to know that I’m intrigued. Gimme siblings, gimme sisters, gimme my second favorite state (after New York, and  to make it easy, it is Oregon) and then a really cool album title like “I’m Alone, No You’re Not” – and I like it!

The three sisters Allison, Meegan, and Natalie Closner, who go by their band name Joseph in deference to their grandfather  Jo, and the tiny Oregon town of Joseph where he lived ,(TORRES aka Mackenzie Scott comes to mind here… ) are perfect for our #3IsABand series!

Ahead of the album”I’m Alone, No You’re Not” comes “White Flag”, a beautiful track in 3-part harmony, with pleasing hooks and an overall catchy feel and likability without being too sugary or too forgettable. The three sisters deliver indie-folk-pop at its finest and the album will hold more of it, hence something to look forward to.

Pre-order the album on iTunes and listen to “White Flag” now:
