3 Is A Band: PVRIS

Oddly enough, one of the first things I knew about PVRIS is that they’re from Lowell, Massachusetts – an old industrial town I’ve been to in 2006 to see a friend perform on stage there. And THEN I found out that PVRIS are a true trio, a real 3 Is A Band contender.
The music that Lynn Gunn (vocals, guitar, keys), Alex Babinski (guitar, keys) and Brian MacDonald (bass, keys) seems to be rough and heavy on the outside but in the end, it’s really a quite an enjoyable ride to listen to what they come up with.

I especially like their video to St. Patrick – a big stadium, anthem song with quite a hook and also its quietier moments. Lynn Gunn’s voice is truly impressive and as PVRIS they put out an impressive debut. I have yet to listen to their whole album White Noise, which came out on November 4th, but for now St. Patrick as a teaser to make appetite for more!

Get a taste for what PVRIS look like live – I’d say, it should be fun!
