FIRST LISTEN: September Girls – Veneer EP
September Girls, a five-piece from Dublin, was one of my discoveries of this year’s CMJ festival. They delivered a great performance and now they have backed it up with a new EP Veneer, the follup-up to their 2013 debut album Cursing the Sea.
September Girls feature two main vocalists, backed up by shoegazy guitar lines and multi-voice harmonies. These are songs full of energy that make appetite for a full album coming next year.
