Creepoid – Cemetery Highrise Slum

Elke: With Cemetery Highrise Slum, Creepoid, a four piece from Philadelphia, PA deliver an album tense with distorted guitars, heavy beets, gnarly riffs and longing vocals that sing of heart break and loss. As the name of the album already suggests, this is not exactly backdrop music for a picnic with the family. That being said, we don’t always want sunshine, the darker emotions have their place too and this is one fine album to proof just that. Our pick from the XXX track album Devil In The Subtext. Cemetery Highrise Slum is out on Collect Records.

Son Lux – Bones

Oliver: Similar to bands like Alt-J and Tame Impala, Son Lux tries hard to give you a unique music experience and they succeed. His new album Bones is out on Glassnote Records.

White Poppy – White Poppy

Oliver: White Poppy is a project by Crystal Dorval. The self titled debut album contains dreamy tracks, that feel like instrumentals even with the occasional vocals.
